Once again, FEED SA is feeding bodies, minds and souls, and uplifting our special little souls with the help of generous and amazing sponsors.

Thanks to CTP Stationery and Armidillo, all the kiddies at AREA GANENG Pre School were given BRAND NEW SHOES and brand new stationery – such as pens, pencils, crayons, glue, awesome little cuppies with straws and so much more…

The gratitude and appreciation on their smiley little faces was priceless !!

A huge thanks too, to Blue Strata, who assisted in our rebuilding of the school who arranged for all this awesome stuff to materialize.

That’s what it’s all about… UPLIFTING SOULS AND CREATING SMILES AND GRATITUDE !!

The teachers were also thrilled with their new pens and files, which makes for much better teaching and classroom skills !!

HUGE THANKS to another amazing sponsor IT WEB who assisted with the funding to build toilets at another one of FEED SA’s crèches in Soweto – Motsoaledi Preschool

The kiddies had ONE space (see pics) to wee and poop and now they have a proper, enclosed section with toilets AND basins and PRIVACY!

This too was a huge success and a very happy time for the kiddies and teachers…

RIGHT – SO.. It may not be a big thing for YOU to wee and poop in privacy, but for us it is and that is one of our first priorities at FEED SA… where space, ablution and funding permit… IN GOES TOILETS !! So we are pleased and proud to announce we have just finished installing 2 toilets, and basins at one of our new beneficiaries.. HOPE HOME for Girls …. WHAT A difference a wee in a toilet makes !!!! A huge thanks to Janice Pearlman and all the people who assisted in the buying and wrapping of Christmas presents for all our kiddies… What a fun day was spent delivering presents and enjoying the parties for the festive season… The kiddies had such fun and each child was given a wrapped present with their names on it… they were thrilled and felt so happy and special !!! THAT’s what it’s all about !! KING DAVID SANDTON’S CHESED CLUB HELPS PACK SWEETS FOR XMAS

Last week, FEED SA was fortunate to have the Chesed Club from King David Sandton assist with the packing of sweets for all the FEED SA children for Christmas…

It was such a fun experience for all the kids who worked liked little machines !!

The children laughed and enjoyed every moment, and so much effort was put into creating the special packages !!

The kiddies from the Chesed Club shared in this day of creating a memorable and Merry Christmas for all the other children who will be receiving the sweetie packs.

A day of giving and receiving – that’s what it’s all about… as we continue to feed BODIES, MINDS and SOULS

FEED SA AND BOABAB TEACHER TRAINING

FEED SA and BOABAB Teachers went to visit all our crèches and were thrilled to see the wonderful, huge and amazing impact our Teacher Training is having on the Teachers, the crèches AND the children.

Our Teachers/Caregivers are so passionate about their training and all that they have learnt, as well as accomplished.

Though the crèches are small (most of them) – these incredible ladies have managed to arrange each space set out for the kiddies, from block and building corner, to books, to arts and crafts, dress up/fantasy play and interest tables!

The children are having much more fun and seem to be adjusting beautifully to their new environments in the crèches!

HUGE THANKS to Andy Berzon and all the Teachers from BOABAB for having such a brilliant impact on the FEED SA crèches… Here’s to continuing feeding BODIES, MINDS and SOULS!

Area Ganeng’s new building!

FEED SA has finally, with the wonderful and generous sponsorship of Blue Strata, and the brilliant building work of Plumbers On Call , completed the building and renovations of Area Ganeng Pre School in Alexandra Township…

What started off as a little mukuku (shack) – with no classroom space, with just some wooden work for protection, as well as netting etc, and buckets for potties and no kitchen area – has ended up with TWO amazing size classrooms, separating the kids into age appropriate groups – a whole area with 6 toilets and basins AND a bath – a little kitchen and an office, as well as an amazing outside area with jungle gyms and all fun play things….

This has been such an exciting and well worthy project and we are very proud to announce the completion of it!

We extend our grateful thanks to all the staff at Blue Strata and to Eddie, who helped with the painting of the wonderful, colourful and fun painting of the outside of the crèche.

We hope to build many more as we continue to feed bodies, minds and souls!

Area Ganeng Day Care Renovation

Blue Strata has generously funded the building of AREA GANENG – one of our crèches in Alexandra Township

Area Ganeng is run by an amazing and brilliant woman named Rebecca, and her dream was to have separate classrooms so as to split the children attending the crèche into their appropriate age groups.

She also wanted to build toilets, allowing the children privacy and space to do their private business !!

After many meetings and presentations, FEED SA is ecstatic to announce that this project has been funded by Blue Strata – a Johannesburg based company, who has taken on Area Ganeng as their charity of choice, as well as for the monthly feeding scheme.

With the wonderful and QUICK work of Plumbers on Call, Area Ganeng has been rebuilt – according to Rebecca’s dream !!!!

We have been able to add on 2 more class rooms, as well as an office and 6 toilets, with basins AND one bath !!

The outside area will now have jungle gyms and space on which the children can run, play and ride !!

This has been an extremely exciting project and we are thrilled that we were able to complete this.

Thanks so much to Paul Koffler from Rand Plastics for his generous donation of plastic tables, chairs, bicycles, wheelbarrows and much much more. We had a GREAT day handing these toys out to some of our new schools in Soweto, and as usual, the excitement on these kids faces it just priceless!!! Thank you RAND PLASTICS!
