Being a resident in the townships made Father Fano realize the amount of wonderful community projects undertaken by individuals or groups, but with no technical support and skill to engage, he needed to invite possible bigger organization’s involvement. He personally discovered that well-meaning township community projects lack the language of expression.
He approached FEED SA requesting that we supply him on a bi monthly basis with the necessary food and vegetable items in order for him to run his soup kitchen, which he is very passionate about.
This is how his organization was born.
Father Fano now runs a soup kitchen feeding scheme feeding many hungry mouths every day at 4 pm from Monday through Friday, thanks to the help of FEED SA.
