Raizcorp

raizcorpFEED SA has entered into an exciting partnership with Raizcorp.  Raizcorp is offering the owners of the nursery schools which Feed SA supports, the opportunity to apply for a bursary to the value of R240k.  This bursary will allow them to participate in its Comprehensive Enterprise Development programme.  This will give them access to Raizcorp’s world class learning and guiding offering.  Raizcorp believes that in order for NGOs to become sutainable, they have to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset.  By teaching the nursery school owners to view themselves as business owners and how to actively build their businesses, Raizcorp aims to create independent and resilient businesses within the NGO sector.

Raizcorp is going one step further and will also be offering this programme to the parents of the children who attend the nursery schools.  Those parents who, having undergone the Raizcorp selection process, prove themselves to be entrepreneurial in spirit will also be offered the Raizcorp Learning & Guiding programme

Silent Auction

Dear Valued Friends

On behalf Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou, I would like to thank you for attending our events last week hosted by Stephen Lemaitre of Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou (St Julien 2nd Growth) in Johannesburg and Cape Town. We hope you enjoyed the events as much as we enjoyed hosting them. As mentioned at each of the four dinners, the International Wine Company’s charity of choice is “FEED SA”. And as we sit down to enjoy some of the finest cuisine South Africa has to offer, together with the finest wines that the world has to offer, we should always remember those around us less fortunate than ourselves.

As mentioned too, Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou has graciously donated a MAGNUM of Ducru 1999, signed by Bruno Borie, owner of this prestigious estate, valued at R4,500. As mentioned during each dinner, this magnum would be auctioned off during a silent auction held this week, the bottle going to the highest bidder, with the entire proceeds of this auction being donated to FEED SA. Furthermore, in order to submit your bid on this bottle, whether you “win” the bottle or not, you will be charged a mere R25 for the submission of your bid. This too shall be donated to FEED SA.

Let’s all hold hands, join forces and help feed some delightful kids most deserving of our efforts, and in so doing, ensuring a brighter future for all!!

The winner of this silent auction will be announced on our website at www.internationalwines.co.za on our “news and events” page on the 14th August 2010.

The deadline for submission of bids is the 10th August 2010.

Herewith attached is a “bid sheet” which can be emailed or faxed back to me at your convenience. Of course, any other donations that you may wish to make are always welcome and can be sent to FEED SA by contacting them directly. Please see below more information on this wonderful non-profit organization and visit www.feedsa.co.za

FEED SA was formed under the Section 21 Act (Registration number 200/04246/08 NPO number 77015)

FEED SA is a non-profit organization, whose main aim is to establish feeding programmes within the townships for all those who receive no other forms of funding whatsoever, and for the children who go to school on an empty stomach.

We also implement the building and setting up of crèches, from the infrastructure to the operations and curriculum.

FEED SA works hands on in the townships on a grass roots level, sourcing their beneficiaries through prominent and reliable contacts within the communities.

In the interest of transparency, reports are given at the end of each month with the status of each beneficiary.

HEALTHY CHILDREN NEED A HEALTHY AND BALANCED LIFESTYLE, CONSISITING OF NUTRITIOUS FOOD, EDUCATION, EXCERCISE AND LOVE!

THE FUTURE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY IS IN THEIR HANDS.

Best wishes and santé,

Steven Lack

We Are Growing

What started out as an exciting idea just under two months ago, is rapidly gaining momentum throughout Africa, and the World!

We are proud to bring you the Official remix of Margaret Singana’s immortal track “We Are Growing” – like you’ve never heard, or seen, before! Contemporary and upbeat, we guarantee that after hearing the track, at the very least, you will feel uplifted, inspired and certainly more re-connected to the ‘Africa’ that is within us all!

The track is now also available for download as a ringtone and/or music video directly to your mobile by simply sms’ing GROW to 38171 (for track – cost is R10) or GROW to 40410 (for music video – cost is R20).

A percentage of all proceeds created goes to FeedSA – a local NPO that is passionate about feeding underprivileged children in South Africa.

To have a look at this exciting production, go to www.african-ringtones.com.

Percentage of all proceeds go to ‘FeedSA’ – a charity that brings smiles, and tears of joy, to thousands of underprivileged children throughout SA. FeedSA’s main role lies in feeding children as they believe that an empty stomach is ultimately the main cause of crime in SA.

FeedSA operate on a shoe-string budget, as a very-commendable 90% of all proceeds they receive go directly into the mouths of the children they care for.

Thank you for taking the time to view this fantastic opportunity – we hope you choose to join forces with us. Come on Africa, We.. Are.. GROWING!
